Level 9 is the 9th Level of The Backrooms.
Description
Level 9 is a seemingly endless suburban landscape, covered in a very dense fog, making it difficult to see. Old suburban houses cover the entire Level; they vary in size, design, and interior. Although there have been sightings of 2 or more completely identical houses next to each other, this is quite rare and most travelers usually won't encounter these phenomena.

Houses on Level 9 have all sorts of architectural styles, ranging from Victorian styles to modern houses. Each existing architectural style usually has its own area. For example, one part of the suburb may be filled with old Victorian mansions, while the other side might have modern houses. These areas can be as small as 3 houses, or sometimes thousands of kilometers big. The layout of Level 9, while mostly flat, there are some areas that are quite hilly.
The furniture of these houses may vary by a lot, even if both houses are in the same area. Some houses might have modern technology (like microwaves, toasters, refrigerators, etc.) while others may use campfires or other outdated technology. However, there is one consistent thing; each house has at least a bedroom and a kitchen. But other than that, room sizes, layout, and amount of rooms are different from house to house. These houses don't possess working electricity, making a lot of the furniture almost completely useless.
Level 9 doesn't only consist of houses; as this Level also has small parks, playgrounds, and roads. The parks of this Level, are usually not as big as in Baseline Reality, often consisting of a few pathways and trees.
Playgrounds on Level 9 normally don't vary in size, unlike the parks on this Level. Playgrounds on this Level look similar to the ones found in Baseline Reality, having things like slides, sandboxes, seesaws, swings, etc. The playground itself looks mostly abandoned; shovels or buckets may lay scattered across the playground. These shovels are generally in a very critical condition, and will commonly snap in two after a few uses.
The roads of this Level are most of the time extremely moist from the fog, making these roads slippery, and sometimes dangerous to run across. The roads of Level 9 also have working streetlights, which are the only working electric light source on this Level. These streetlights also make this Level a bit more seeable as it clear the fog a bit. Manholes are also commonly found around the roads, but they don't have a sewer system under them, instead, there's just asphalt under it, meaning it serves no known purpose.
The fog encompassing the entire Level consists of an unknown aerosol, which acts very similar to Baseline Reality's fog. There aren't many differences between this Level's fog and Baseline Reality's fog, but one of the main differences is that the fog from Level 9 seems to be almost completely stationary, leaving this Level almost eerily quiet. Because of the fog, this Level's temperature is a consistent 17°C. The sky in Level 9 is very cloudy, giving it an almost abandoned feel.
Level 9 has a Life-Form infestation. They usually lurk in darker rooms in some houses. However, they can often also be seen near parks and playgrounds, most commonly being Smilers, as they are the most common Life-Form around The Backrooms.
Details
This Level doesn't possess a day and night cycle, and the only normal life (excluding Life-Forms) around are oak and birch trees that appear on this Level, and also grass.
Level 9 also possesses many street signs that are of Asian origin, which translate normally to their Baseline Reality counterpart. However, often these signs are placed in nonsensical places, like in a playground.
There are also several types of signs around Level 9, always being of Asian origin, which could mean that this Level takes the appearance of an existing place in China or Japan. Possibly of other Asian origin.
Accessibility Methods
Entrances
Entering this Level is possible by opening up a manhole in Level 8, which would lead you to Level 9's surface.
Another way of entering this Level is through any of Level 9's Floors.
Exits
Finding a wheat field on this Level may lead to Level 10; however, these fields are hard to find.
You can get to Level 11 amid the fog if you follow a set of signs, which will lead you there.
